it's a commission piece for the wonderfulthe requested topic was a couple of wild boars in the forest
i don't know why but i think animals are probably the easiest and the nicest things for me to draw so i really love to realize such topicsoh, and i took the title from one of my favourite parts of J.R.R.Tolkien's "Silmarillion", because i thought the romantic moment the two wild boars are having in the picture must be similar to the beautifully written one when Thingol met Melian on the cards of the lovely Tolkien's book:
"She spoke no word; but being filled with love Elwë came to her(...)and straightway a spell was laid on him, so that they stood thus while long years were measured by the wheeling stars above them; and the trees (...) grew tall and dark before they spoke any word." [The Silmarillion, Of Thingol and Melian - J.R.R. Tolkien]

i don't know if you're still here on dA... i just read your reply, and i so would like to tell you, that many years ago in spring i saw two courting spiders - i had this quiet moment for myself, so i took the time and watched them silently for quite a while... i couldn't believe my eyes, they were so much like human teenagers in first love - i almost could have sworn that i saw little pinkish hearts hovering above them... there are not many people who i can talk to about this, but after seeing your most wonderful heartwarming piece and reading your words, i dare to tell you...

mostly ink washes, ink drawing, sometimes some markers to finish up something
