You know what time it is! It's the "mourn Lance's fate" time!:'D

Decided to doodle Lance for once in a while. My apologies for this being so messy, I had to doodle as fast as possible before I could abandon this.
I'm also going to write my own headcanon story about Lance, because while we know his backstory, we don't really know his old personality and I was kind of bored.

So basically, I headcanon that before becoming corrupted with negativity Lance used to be super energetic, enthusiastic and cheerful. Maybe even more energetic and random than our current Balan. (Also the doodle in the bottom right corner is a redraw of the knife cat meme, because he could also be memeable if memes existed so long ago.)
While he remained the previous Balan, he only wanted to help others, show them that life is wonderful and they shoudn't give up because there are still so many great things. As he started to become the Lance we know today, he fully felt the pain which negativity brings and decided that if you'll just end up feeling like this over and over again then it's better not to feel at all. That's when he got the idea of turning people into Nega Bosses and this way keeping them "safe". At first he wanted to reject this thought, but as time went on he convinced himself that it would be the only right way to "save" them.
At first even when he already became Lance he tried to keep himself as friendly and energetic as before. But century anfter century that became harder and harder. Until he couldn't do it anymore and became the cold and remorseless person we know.

Yeah, this only makes his story sadder honestly.
