Paint.NET a free photo editing program that is very powerful & does more than just edit photos. There are 2 forums for it too.

and now i don't feel so stupid ^_^ i know what Paint.NET is! go me! and i'd love to join the forums BUT…i use photoshop. and with either programs, i wouldn't even have a clue on how to go about makin somethin like this lol. hard to believe this is all digital paint. very unique.

I never could get the hang of photoshop.

Initially I was drawn in because it was free & offered a forum to help the user.

If you can use Photoshop then my hat is off to you!

My first attempt with PDN, I was so happy to make a mark & then add a layer & make another one. Through the tutorials I was able to understand how things worked & it all went from there.

There is still so much for me to learn.

ah well that's awesome! always good to learn a new program and the community n tuts make it so much easier and better! my first attempt at photoshop failed so horribly that i didn't try again for another 4 or 5 months. but it was 4-5 hours of complete frustration. and i'm one of those stubborn people who refuse to ask for help lol but it just clicked (months later). anyway! no problem. lookin forward to your next upload
