Description I meant to get this up in time for Halloween but I forgot until now. This was the creepiest sight to happen upon. I wasn't sure just what it was at first but then I remembered a pic of a fungi I had seen. Even so, I was a little weird about it until I broke one and inside was just a mushroom. I know, too much imagination....

I think it's a troll coming out of the ground.

It freaked me out a little at first. I even had to break one to ease my mind... I got the shivers to touch it, in the woods, alone...

As i saw the thumbnail i thought of seeing bullets in an open magazine. (I was watching a Iraq documentation before)
But i was not the only one who was fooled...

I'll think it is the Xylaria longipes or the Trichoglossum hirsutum. I don't no very much about mushrooms but as far as I could see it must be one of these too.
