I do too! I planted dill to attract them and sure enough, I got one. After it ate all the dill I moved it to the Queen Anne's Lace and checked it every day. Unfortunately I missed it's grand entrance as a butterfly but I'm hoping I'll have better luck next year.

Not too long I think. I knew what day it changed and how many days it usually takes but as it happened I was working on the earliest possible day. The next day it was already gone. I will plant dill again, and cross my fingers...

Next time more luck and more time. That's what I like about nature, it learns us to be patient and when everything falls in place, it really feels like a gift! But it can be frustrating. It's the same with little birds, they always fly out when you aren't there!!

I agree, that is so true! It can be frustrating and there are days when I feel like I've wasted my time but then the next time, I'm thrilled! Always an adventure, even if we don't go very far....

Thanks! This was from my little wild corner so I can keep an eye on little critters... It ate up all the dill before it moved to the wild carrot so I will make sure there is plenty of dill next year...
