He says: "I really don’t know how I could have avoided professional wrestling as a career. I had grown up in a wrestling atmosphere. My father – well everyone had heard about Fritz Von Erich for years. Wrestling is a part of my family, and I’ve always been a good athlete. It seemed natural for me to become a wrestler. Besides, Kevin needed someone to team with! My father was, is and always will be my biggest inspiration. He was a wrestler himself. He wrestled all around the United States, Puerto Rico and Canada. Where he spent the majority of his career. I would follow him on trips and one of his matches was the first wrestling match I ever saw. I was also a big of wrestlers like Joe Blanchard, King Kong Bundy, Michael Hayes, Giant Baba, Reggie parks, etc..I’ve been traveling back and forth for years now & my father did everything he could to help me. Now with years experience.. it’s only the beginning! My father was the biggest and best supporter of me and my career. From gear ideas, to mentally and physically helping me be prepared. He was My best friend, my brother and a father. We would eat breakfast together while watching wrestling. We would go workout together & then come back eat together again. Call each other constantly. He would sleep on a couch just so I could have a room. If anything would motivate me to win this Legends Unleashed Tournament. It's for my dad."
