Description I came upon a lonely Buzzard.
I named him Billy.
No feathered nest,
just a concrete bed.
No tasty treat.
No sign of red meat.
No wooden perch
or mate for 'buzzard' talk.
No open skies for Billy
to fly and to soar
but a small, empty fortress
with a wired mesh door..

(Quick poem to identify my sad feelings on seeing this beautiful buzzard couped up in an overseas zoo)

This piece is going to my Faves because, I can definately relate to an imprisonment feeling and what it can be like.

You did a magnificent job with these piece, and I like your choice of words and what ones you chose to rhyme with others. From beginning to end, it was smoothly written all the way through.

You can see it in the owls eyes, amazing.

Thank you so much for sharing this and, it has been accepted to the Group!

Yes, I felt very frustrated at his plight. I wanted to open his cage and set him free.

Thanks for leaving a comment.
