I stayed at this hotel in July 2014 for some meetings at nearby IBM Hursley. It’s actually a Best Western hotel in an old manor house, so no, I didn’t just win the lottery. I had jetlag and got up just after dawn, padding barefoot around the grounds (they have acres and acres). If you need a hotel between Southampton and Winchester, well, I’d for sure go back.Related content

Yipes, sorry! I don't know if I'll get to go back to IBM Hursley in the future, although it's possible. On the other hand my non-exhausted-from-jetlag time was almost all filled up anyway this trip. Otherwise I'd have driven up to see family.

Don't know that film but this manor has about 100 bedrooms and didn't seem to have mermaids or mermen around

It was about the chimneys that were to be sweeped but there are probably a lot of manors looking like this.
