I really like this still life and the mixture of lemons and parsnips is not so common. After all, both are light fruits in a slightly yellow/beige tone.
The arrangement looks like a still life old masters used to do in traditional painting.
But there is one thing that is a bit disturbing in the photography: Overall it is too dark and needs a bit more lighting effects in the background.
It also would be interesting to see where the fruits/vegetables are posed on: A table, a tray. I can make out a mossy tree trunk, but I guess it isn't
Some great impact are making the lemon and the parsnip that you have placed dominantly in the foreground. It really gives some appetite and add some colour to the photography.
Overall it is a great photography composition tending to look like a painting. Keep up that great work!

Thank you for your super-detailed comment, thatβs really helpful
On dark - i was trying for a dark and somewhat βvintageβ atmosphere, more like (as you say) a painting.
The vegetables & fruit are actually on a table with a velvet textured cloth on it. The picture was originally taken to accompany a recipe.
Thank you again

Very much the same atmosphere as in some traditional still-life painting.
