Description

The church was built by the Knights Templar in 1130, roughly 900 years ago.

The semicircular pillars with their toothed or zig-zag decoration are characteristic of how churches were built at that time; it's called “Normal Architecture”.

The circular design of the church was based on the Church of the Holy Sepulchre in Jerusalem, which the knights would have seen on the First Crusade.

This photograph of the nave, looking up, i took in 2009 during a quick visit with Master when we were on vacation in the UK.
