It's so perfect, it looks like a painting. I love how the angle of the trees follows the angle of the mountain. Beautiful contrast and shadows against the mountain. The textures on the mountain are incredible, and I like how the clouds kind of blend in with the snow.

We never get snow. Well, maybe a couple of flakes that melt as soon as they get near the ground.

wow, barns... this is excellent. you ARE incredible.
this would COMPLETELY embody winter for me if the sky were a little less blue... the sky doesn't ever seem to get that blue during the winter here in the Rockies. XD STILL, this is a very beautiful landscape that belongs with your others in my s

This reminds me of Ansel Adams work - I really love the emotional feel you get from looking at this, rather than just capturing what you saw, but what you felt at the time.

Needless to say, this is very beautiful. It is awesome with such unique colour variations. Let me ask - did you do any colour adjustment, such as turning all the wood black-white? Or is it just an original play of light? Anyway, it looks very good, since it creates an amazing contrast of two levels(wood against wood and the wood against the rest of the surroundings).

The landscape almost seems unreal - very awesome capture of that mountain, it looks so clear and detailed. Also great with including the clouds, they add alot to the snowy atmosphere, since that is how they usually look when it snows: white and 'puffy'

This is very interesting to look at, you did an extremely good job

barns In reply to Fishermang [2004-10-22 15:48:27 +0000 UTC]

I did no colour manipulations, just worked on the contrast and made the sky a bit darker - the woods were lying in the shadows, so that is why they turned out so "black & white". I especialy loved how the warm light on the mountain looks like!

thank you so very much for your lovely comment! I'm glad you like it!

Fishermang In reply to barns [2004-10-22 15:57:00 +0000 UTC]

Thanks for the reply. The colour variation was so in contrast, that I just had to know Now that you mention it - there is another contrast between the cold woods and the warm-looking mountain, considering all the Sun light
