I don’t know what kind of sleep or dreams Rainbow Dash had that evening after she left our cottage in my Equestria dreamscape. link However eventually she regained her senses and headed off for home, and as Dash was tucking herself into bed Applebloom was beginning another dream travel lesson with Princess Luna.

As the little filly has grown more and more familiar with lucid dreaming and the dream realm, Luna has begun expanding Applebloom’s lessons. link link However this evening for the first time the Princess of the Night took the littlest of the Apple family out of her own dream fabric and into the dream realm itself.

The Realm of Dreams of is an ever-changing landscape in which the memories and thoughts of the observer can often have a profound effect upon its appearance. At first what appeared to be a strange, swirling, star-filled universe soon began to form noticeable terrain features below them as they galloped across an evening filled with a million stars.

Eventually Luna directed Applebloom to a small cloud where the little filly could rest. It was then that the little butter-cream yellow filly realized that she recognized location below them as being Ponyville. Beneath the two ponies were at first appeared to be bright shimmering lights coming from the various homes in Applebloom’s community. However upon further examination the little filly realized what they were actually the individual dream fabrics of her friends and neighbors. They twinkled and shimmered like stars in the nighttime; Luna then explained that what appeared to be stars and constellations in the sky above them were actually other dream fabrics belonging to other ponies or beings both in Equestria or in more distant and far off lands and realms.

Luna then proceeded to dive toward the town library. Applebloom followed and much to the little filly’s surprise they entered Twilight Sparkle’s dream fabric. Now Luna had informed Celestia’s favorite student that this was going to happen so violet unicorn mare was not alarmed when two other ponies joined her dream. In fact she has become fascinated with the concept of lucid dreaming and begun her research into the topic. Unfortunately Twilight’s studies had not been as successful as Applebloom’s. However for what seemed like a couple hours the three ponies enjoyed a pleasant afternoon of tea and cake under a large oak tree in the town park.

After this Luna and Applebloom departed Twilight’s dream fabric and climbed back up to the cloud they originally landed on. The little filly was giddy with excitement from this adventure and wanted to try diving into another ponies dream fabric. Why not Petina’s? She seemed like an interesting pony. Awkward moment for Luna but she succeeded in putting a dampener on the subject. For the moment.
