Description This is a Patreon reward for of his character early 20th century crime fighter Jennifer Sherwood who I've done of few pieces of Patreon reward: Racing to the scene  The Calling, final color   and for the time being is teaming with with an agent from the US Government to fight the bad guys.

There were a couple elements in this piece that were interesting. First the patron wanted the agent to be an American Foxhound, playing off the whole Fox and the Hound motif. Second they wanted the characters to be in darkened alleyway/side street. Now in the early 20th century brick and brownstone were common construction material. However I was worried that having a solid wall of dark/stone brick would make the characters disappear.

Then I remember a trick that Frank Miller used in the Sin City comics where he would only draw the brick pattern where the shadows were falling which gave a very distinctive feel to the artwork and story so I gave it a try.

This piece was started on a Picarto     stream, and tonight December 31st I will be streaming again starting at 5:30pm Pacific. I you want to see me create more great art drop by and say hi! Tonight I will be working on MLP related colored pencil art!

I hope you like what you see. Please help make more art like this possible by supporting me at Patreon

Thanks for drawing my characters here, Baron! I really like the Miller-esque effect with the brickwork as backdrop. Very distinctive, and you pulled it off nicely. Great detail work as always, right down to the trigger discipline.

May they not run afoul of my pulp- early-superhero-era character, The Wisp.

I learned a while ago that a lot of the population forms its opinions and ideas of what is appropriate weapons handling by what they see in popular culture. Comics, video games, movies, television, and pop art. Therefore artists in those mediums can sometimes have greater influence than the actually organizations that the weapons were designed for! So I try to sweat the details.
