While working various projects today I had a chance to get this drawing of Sunset Shimmer as a pirate captain. In fact I'm thinking of doing all the girls as pirates. Especially with Halloween on the horizon.

That basket-style hilt reminds me a bit of the rapier Pinkie was carrying in the pic you did of her as a D&D bard, although the blade is clearly wrong for a rapier. I would say maybe a claymore, but those have straight, double-sided blades if memory serves.

In this case it is based on a left-handed Dussack sword, and before you ask no I don't think Sunset is necessarily left-handed. I just wanted to show the lines of her legs and the open laced nature of her trousers off better with her in that pose.

Nothing wrong with being left-handed; I actually shoot left-handed, yet I write with my right. I guess you could say my left hand makes war, and my right hand makes peace.
