Relatable. XD I don't have a black wolf telling me to go to sleep, but I definitely get prodded from friends to do so. :'D

Well the black wolf is my good friend Priswolf . So when she nips, it is because it is for my own good. Somehow she hasn't gotten frustrated with me and given up yet. Sometimes stubborn friends are the best kind. lol
So you are another one who doesn't go to sleep at a normal hour, like me, eh? Sigh. What are they ever going to do with friends liek us? lol

Yeah. But I love her for it.... ummmm, in a purely platonic sense, of course.

Good thing I read the description because I was about the advice AGAINST lying down to sleep if there's a wolf already nibbling at you!

Yeah, I figured I had better explain that one. It was around 3:30 am this morning and I got a stern warning to go to sleep from Pris, as she so often does. Me, being a cheeky old froggy, couldn't resit staying up just a bit longer to write this.
I guess this is the adult version of "na na na na boo boo". LOL Honestly I actually like knowing she cares about me so much and wants to prevent me from being summarily executed by my annoyed wife if she was to wake up and find me still online.
Yeah, the wolf in this instance is more of a pro frog wrangler, good at herding mischievous froggies back in line so we don't end up wandering and falling off proverbial cliffs. That and I also just wanted to commemorate the event since it happens so often.

I am like that with my husband, he stays up all night while I am left alone in our big empty bed. It gets so nerve-wracking sometimes I just can't sleep so I come to collect him and he gets mad at me for it.

Well I hope in your case he is like me and is not up to no good. I always give my wife full permission to look at anything I have written or sites I have visited online. If he is reluctant to admit where he has been going at night like that, that is a big red flag that you and he might need to have a talk. In my case I am usually just chatting, or working on DA.
I know it is a delicate subject, because you also have to foster a sense of trust in the relationship. In my opinion though COMPLETE honesty is the only way to go. It all depends on how much freedom each of you are comfortable with giving each other.
A lot of people will stand firm on their rights to go see and do whatever they want to, but that is crap. In a relationship you have to be willing to lay down your personal rights for the sake for the other person's heart. That has to be a two way street. it shouldn't just be you laying down your rights to let him be free if it starts to hurt your feelings.
That is why Pris (my wolfish friend) always notes me if she finds me still up at that hour, because she cares and she knows it irritates Marcie (my wife). Only a good friend has the guts to call you when you are being selfish and insensitive like that. I pride myself on being a caring and romantic guy, but when it comes to staying up to late, I really drop the ball.
It is kind of funny too, because every time she does it I still get that little kid caught with his hand in the cookie jar feeling. LOL Marcie actually give me a wide latitude on that matter as long as she sleeps well, but if me being up ever keeps her from sleeping, then I am going to hear about it.

oh, my husband hears about it, and he still does it. I guess I just have to accept the fact that I married a night owl. It does bother me sleeping night after lonely night in that big bed. Like I said I do tell him about it, but I think he is taking measures to fix it. We will see though.

Well I didn.t get this till 13 hours and 20 minutes ago, so calculating back, at the time you sent that would have been about 5:00am my time when you left that comment. I know I posted my poem last night around 3:30am.
3:30 in the morning is actually good for me. The night before I was up until 5 :00am. Yeah, even vampires think that is pushing it.
Pris knows I used to get in trouble with my wife all the time for staying up till she got up in the morning, meaning she slept alone. My wolf buddy wasn't having any of that. She took matters into her own hands and started keeping an eye out when she gets up in the morning to see if I am still on.
She is 7 hours ahead of my time zone, so by the time she hits her morning commute to work it is about 3:00am where I am. If she checks my status and sees I am still on DA, she will come snarling at me to go to sleep for my own (and my wife's) good.

For4 some reason I thought you were 7 hours ahead. ^ is even easier to calculate. That means it is 9:11am there now..... and I am still up.

The sleepless froggy
Staying up late as always
Stubborn as can be
Taunting the black wolf
Staying up even later
To write a haiku

ohhhhhhh, you know me well, cute wolf. X3
I couldn't resist. I actually forgot I needed to do my daily HaikuWriMo entry. it seemed a fitting subject to commemorate in verse. I cooooould have waited till today and doubled up, buuuut... I couldn't resist being a bit cheeky.
I did log off after that though.
