Description It has been an approximate 247 years since the Declaration of Independence was formally signed by the bigwigs in Philadelphia's Independence Hall. Thus, this allowed the patriots, civilians, minutemen and her allies to rally to take up arms and utterly annihilate those loyal to the tyrannical British Crown. Resulting in the creation of the United States of America, which, after all of these years of turmoil and upheaval's, even to this day, manages to still stand tall and proud amidst the nations, changing the world for (well, mostly at least) for the better.

Ah, enough of this utterly dramatic crap, MORE TRAINZ STUFF!!!...
For this year, I've decided to combine two scenarios into one post from within my lore. First of all, for the nations 150th in 1951, I assigned my Central Idaho & Las Vegas S-1 class Northern #176, very appropriately gussied up in her Spirit of 1776 regalia, to haul the American Flyer consist, of which you can find on the DLS, through my customized Desert Wood Layout. Within my lore, the #176 hauled that said celebratory express straight down from Boise to Las Vegas. A very hot, but memorable trip for anyone who remembers it.
And on the right, we have a hypothetical stop at Mackinac City, MI. for the 1976 American Freedom Train, hauled by the former Reading T-Hog #2101. Here, she is practically being escorted by Concordia Route GS-2 4-8-4 #963. Well, the Union Pacific (then) #8444 had the same honors of being a "tugboat" engine (In that case, to the SP #4449), so it makes perfect sense to have this little maneuver perform on my Pennsy to Mackinac City Route.
Overall, I wish to all of you Yanks a fine and pleasant Independence Day. Got a dishwashing shift at Zukey Lake, 3-10 PM.
