How wonderful! How do you get that varying thickness look in the wire? I've been trying to figure that out for ages. Is it filing?

That's right, by filing at the ends. And generally I make the wire flat by forging.

Thank you so much for answering. I was never sure about how that worked when I saw it. I've hammer-forged things and rounded the ends with filing, but never experimented with tapering like that. You're incredibly talented!
