You can follow the instructions in the Square Root of Minus Garfield submit page in order to have your comic entered for publication.

Tell them your preferred author name or nom de plume so they can credit you. Do this every time you send in a strip, so they can identify who you are. Sometimes it's impossible for the administrator of Square Root of Minus Garfield to know who you are if you don't tell him.

Tell him the date of the original Garfield strip or strips you are parodying.

Include a typed transcript of your strip, following the format seen on Square Root of Minus Garfield. This saves them a lot of time when queueing up a month's worth of strips but if you don't include a transcript, your strip is less likely to be published.

Save your strip in PNG format. If your software can't, then use BMP or TIF. Do not use JPG or GIF except in the following special cases:
1. For strips that are largely photos, rather than cartoon line art, JPG is acceptable.
2. For strips containing animations, GIF is acceptable.

Attach your strip to your submission e-mail.

Content must be approximately PG-rated.
