At the bottom there is a little white dot. When rotated 90 degrees clockwise, it looks like a gleaming eye over a wide, evil grin. I might have to use this in a horror story called "Mr. Sellers."
It's set in the large black and white house (from another of your pics). It's been many things over many decades: a boarding house, a war hospital, a minimum security asylum, a library. But always the same caretaker, Mr. Sellers, who lived in the basement and maintained the clanking and hissing old boiler. Now it's the Hathaway House for troubled runaways. The older kids dare the new arrivals to slip out of bed after lights out and creep downstairs to ask Mr. Sellers in he could please turn up the heat.
The delinquents claim it truly is a halfway house - halfway between Heaven and Hell, and the devil lives downstairs.
