I see. Thank you for the website link. I noticed the Giga was on the Aug 2010 preorder, so I suppose I will contact Shane to see about actually acquiring one.

dude, I gotta ask u where u get all those scale-artificial plants? all those cycads, ferns and so on!

Finding plants that are in scale is difficult; I sometimes get artificial plants from a local garden centre; but I do make a lot of them myself.

The Palm trees on this base, I made using a piece of wooden dowling, cut and rejoined to form a natural looking bend to the trunk, I cut the fronds from clear acetate plastic sheet, joined them to the top, primed and painted.

If I'm making a cycad I will use a suitable sized pine cone, cover it in supa glue (to stop it from opening) then attach fronds to the top (as with the palm trees)
