This was originally going to be a mothers day card for my girlfriend Christine's mom. It's a watercolor of my lovely Christine and our sweet kitty "Boot" .. Really sweet, nice emotion. Honestly, her left leg seems seems kind of wonky, I think it's just the angle. Legs are a real pain in the butt to draw folded up.

*laughs* Tell me about it! It's alway the legs that take me the longest to figure out (that's assuming I ever figure them out at all). And you're not the only one who could benefit from more life drawing. I've been meaning to get out and do gestures for longer than I'd care to admit.

Love the hands, especially the one on the kitty. The feet are really nice as well, urmm.....my only 'advanced critique' comment would be about her pants, the fabric looks a little loose to be jeans.

I always found the idea of having costumed life drawing rather interesting, but sadly my school doesn't do that......
You could always go out and stare at people's jeans and sketch them.....of course they might think you're a little strange but...

Well, it's a super-tough choice between the two, but after sleepless nights of constant inner-struggle, I've decided that I'm going to marry Christine instead of Boot.. But thankfully Boot is very forgiving.

Nope, I did it all with traditional paints and such.. I'm trying to get more into the traditional watercolors these days. I spend more than enough time on the computer.

Hey I would do the same thing...theres nothing like the real thing. Especailly watercolor...it cant be duplicated on the computer.
