When did Hero ever gave the impression of a monster...? Why would they assume that? Is it the eyes? But Vile has different eyes too, did they see him as a monster then too? Or maybe some kind of presence that lingered around Hero?

So, like, did no one think to go to Notch with this and be like: hey your (essentially) neice is going blind and the Aether apparently has *remarkable* health care so find a way to fix her!
...but remember to mention that she's not *actually* your kid because I think the idea of being an uncle would give Notch an aneurism. He wanted you to get friendly with humanity but not /that/ friendly
