Notch, If you could get a flashback about Hero's past you could see that he is not a bad persson... just broken.... hopeless... and scared.
Would it be the "best solution" to kill him?
What would you earn with that.... maybe you save innocent people. But you would ruin a family. Vile will look at you with disgust (i think he allready kinda is). And there is a chance of a whole life regret of yohr act. So why dont you try to help him. Try to understand him. I think that Vile and Hero will not look at you like on a monster.,but they will look at you like on a brother....

I really do not recommend killing hero. I suspect that will only worsen the problem. Why are you so against diplomacy, Notch? Would you really rather kill your brother than make peace with him?! It would be hard, do not get me wrong, but if there is still a chance at saving him and putting aside your quarrel should you not pursue that?

Also, Vile would never forgive you. Imagine, watching your brother watching you kill part of his hopeless, fractured family before his eyes. He'd never forgive you. He'd- more or less -try to kill you in the same cold blood you did Hero. He'd than be lonely forever. I mean, you said so yourself. Mortals live and die without consequences, but the death of a God would be catastrophic. Vile would live until the end of time, most likely having his sanity reduced to nothing but ashes, and he'd have the painful burden of never becoming a family with his brothers again. They love you, but they just can't see that you love them too. I mean, no one loves a brother who treats you like dirt.

"Make peace or kill him" and somehow, I dunno why, I think I can sorta guess which option you'd prefer... I mean, based on what was described of those golden asshats before. This one could be different but I doubt it...

But then again, his advice aren't bad to be honest. He's putting it bluntly out there, which might be the wake-up Notch need...
