In Nightmare, the clone, Syclone, is killed, but before he dies, he says how it is not the end, that what is made in one timeline, will be made in any new ones. After the future is resecured, Rey clones Base, using DNA, and a painfully long procedure, to create the perfect thing to kill Base: Himself.

Syclone, once born, and finding out his purpose, and what he is, craves individuality, and reforms his look entirely, adapting a new quill style, and clothing, and refusing a forgery of the family sword, and taking up a gold beam sabre.

Refusing what personality foretold to him, he becomes more of a dark, and sinister role, without the evil and insanity that his other self had.

Syclone wants Base dead for his own reasons, mainly so he can BECOME him.
