Description Bien le bonjour à vous tous ! \^-^/

Hello everybody ! \^-^/
I'm coming back for an excellent exercise on the light: painting crystals. This exercise is inspired by: icongalder: a virtuoso of light. This work is not finished. But nevertheless, I explore new techniques, I take into account new parameters, and this presentation will serve as a reminder where I am and what i did. On the upper surface of the left crystal are small diluted black lines. Interesting effect of transparency. The markedly impure points of impurity place these impurities on the surface of the crystal. To soften them with gray or to make others diluted place them more deeply in those crystals.
For the crystals, there was:
- a first yellow layer, mixed with white (for the light)
- a second layer of green, mixed with white
- a third layer of purple.

The first layer was quite firm, very clear, but thick in matter.
The second layer was thick, but wet, a consistency similar to a liquid cream.
The third layer was a concentrated purple juice, which I could 'push' with the brushes on the sides of one side. Control was easy.

This purple juice was further diluted and spread with a brush to make the background color, like watercolor without much precision vis-à-vis the green decor, denser and more intense in color, and without too much precision -to the crystals, denser in color too. The juice does not mix with more pronounced and denser layers of color, which gives this net result. Which is surprising and interesting.

Kisses dear friends, see you soon!

I believe this is an amazing mixture of delightful colors, within the framework of an imaginative design... I am fondly reminded of alternative music sounds from the 1970's as I gaze upon this presentation... and I appreciate your showing this to us all, my dear friend - excellent painting!

It can not make me happier to read your comment. So, yes, I could keep all this secret, on a notebook. Ok. But when I started, you gave me some advice, you and others answered my questions. Maybe one day, I'll stop being generous, but in the meantime, I prefer to write the process below my works. It gives an idea of the work to be done (and it's a big job!) And it serves as a reminder for when I need to go back to this work. Thank you very much for your visit, my   !

what you think as a simple drawing has a long and somewhat technical process going through before it is created and then will change your perspective .because then , after you know the process it went through will impress you

Very very constructive remark !!

But the danger is to be locked in those techniques,
in the same gestures and having habits.
I always want to be dazzled by others,
i love going into artworks galleries, trying to feel how artists express feelings and their inner landscapes.

I can also look at the sky, thinking about the gestures, the colours, the layers, the consistency of the matter, the blendings...

Just looking and being imaginative is already Art, to me.
But i'll have to not being locked.

I have pastels, acrylics, colored chalks, colored pencils (little numerous).
One day, i'll try others techniques, or use them again.

Thank you for your comment !

Thank you so much !
We see that it is an exercise: there are too many color differences on each side of the crystals,
the rocks below are not very pretty. The tasks of impurity are too marked,
but there are these small features diluted on the top of the left crystal which are interesting.

We have to control the amount of material at the end of the brush, the dilution ...
Wow, that plus the mixture of colors ...
it makes parameters to master ...

but in Art, we succeed nothing.
We have fun, we search, we find.
And we love.

Thank you again, my dear Charles!
Your support is very appreciated !
