Really neat how you kept the oddness of the design but made El-Ahrairah have realistic features. The orange on the legs kind of remind me of scales.

I remember reading Watership way back when I was 7 or 8 too, and how amazed I was to get through so huge a book. From there I leapt into redwall, and have loved animals ever since. That was the foundation Im sure that made me gravitate towards furry and anthro art as I became an artist. Thanks for paying so great a homage to a neglected piece of amazing literature. Im going to have to read it again, its been way too long. Thanks for the push in the right direction

that's awesome, I thought it looked quite similar to the show (I used to watch the show after I read the book just for the heck of it)
funny thing, I loved that book, but since I was only in grade 6 at that time, it took me little under 6 months to read it^^ I could prolly read it in bout a month at the least now I think^^
(I did have a grade 12 reading level in grade 5)

Its what Frith (creator of the world) said to the prince of rabbits after blessing him with his gifts (strong legs, good hearing, shining white tail). He gave gifts to all the animals, making them different. he made carnivores, to keep El-Ahrairah's people from overpopulating. Its from a story that the rabbits tell.
