Description The Rockwell B-1B 86-0100 pictured here was the 60th B-1B built.  It was delivered to the Osean Air Force on July 20, 1987 and entered service with the 8th Bomb Squadron of the 38th Bombardment Wing (Heavy) of the Osean Strategic Air Command at Fitzgerald Air Force Base, where it was nicknamed "Phantom."  "

"Phantom" stood nuclear alert with the rest of SAC's B-1B fleet throughout the Cold War between Osea and Yuktobania, almost being launched in the increased tensions following the nuclear detonations in Belka in 1995.  Unlike the B-52 fleet, B-1Bs did not participate in the Belkan War due to their priority being nuclear alert and their relative lack of conventional weapons capability, as well as a shortage of crews trained in conventional weapons employment.

Following the easing of tensions between Yuktobania and Osea after the Belkan War and subsequent drawdown of strategic armament, 86-0100 was sent to the Solo Island Aerospace Management And Regeneration Center on June 10, 2009 and was broken up on June 26 of the same year as part of the START II treaty.

86-0100 is shown here in the SAC low level penetration scheme as worn when at Fitzgerald.
