I'm reading two books on Napoleon Bonaparte by Adam Zamoyski, so naturally Napoleonic soldiers were my subject today 😄The style is inspired by the superb comics of Mike Mignola and Chris Schweizer.

I love both those books. There's a story in our family that I haven't been able to check, that an ancestor got the wrong lottery number (really, they had lotteries to determine who had to go into the army) and that I'm only here because the family scraped money together to pay some poor bastard to go in his stead. Never made it back, of course...
