On February the 1st 2015, Monty Oum passed away at age 33.I've been a fan of Roosterteeth for almost 3 years now, and a lot of the employees I've grown fond of.Β Monty was very passionate about his work, RvB and RWBY had the ability to pull someone out of their darkest places, he changed lives. He created RWBY years before it was produced, he was a creator, he loved his characters deeply, and also his fans. It makes me sad to know he'll never get to finish their story.
Whether or not Roosterteeth decide to continue RWBY we should respect their decision.

I think they'll continue RWBY because it was Monty's baby and he worked hard on it

But one thing though, they will have to find a new voice for Ren in JNPR.... So we will see.

they did say volume 3 has been planned and is in development but given the tragic loss of i'll be honest, one of the most creative minds since the people that gave us Avatar the Last Airbender or How to Train Your Dragon, this is a hard blow to come back from, but miracles have happened before and i'm sure the guys at rooster teeth will stay true to the creators vision!
