Here's new and improved 3d Inu!--REVISIONS--
1) Improved hair - longer, thicker
2) Skin - more detail in texture map and rendered with bump maps
3) Top - New Haori! Not a perfect match, but the sleeves are cool. Rendered with bump maps.
4) Pants - New Hakama! Still not a perfect match to Inuyasha's outfit, but it's closer. Rendered with bump maps. Like the texture and pattern, gang?
5) Belt - New Obi. Not a perfect match, but at least the ties are poseable. Rendered with bump maps.
6) Scabbard - New sheath for Tetsusaiga with laces

The only thing I can say is that he looks a bit old in this image. He looks more into his 20s and he has never, in the anime or manga, been set as older than 17. This is no boy you have here. This is a man.

Your Artwork is just...Breathtaking! Where do you get the programs you use for these peices? And! I would like to see maybe a bit o' Miroku! I bet you could make him look more gorgeos then he already is. I meen, you make Inuyasha look like a freaking GOD. You are marvolous, and I know people say that to you probably all the time, but it's true.

Ears are little funny, they should be longer or at least some what bigger.

Thanks for the comment. This is a two year version of Inu from 2004. You can see the 2005 version in my gallery. I'm currently revising Inu for 2006, so I'll take into account your feedback.

Sorry if you got offended by my comment. I see that you have made some serious small fixes for inu but he still got somewhat small ears when comparing to the size of the head.
Newer one has face which doesn't look much inuyasha unlike this older which looks more inuyasha to me but I guess it's a matter of opinion. I personally cannot do anything like that with 3d modelling tools. I can however make a lots of animated stick men walking on screen with blender.

LOL. I'm not offended. Hmmm... the ears. It's kinda tricky, because I try to go for realism. The Egyptian version of Inu has very big ears (you can see them on Puppy Love). The ears are still something I'm working at. I would like to eventually have them furry, but again that's tricky because just how furry should they be? Sesshomaru's are BIG TIME furry when in his true form. So how should Inu's be? Hmmm....

I don't know but at least bigger. See the works of other artists and Takahashi's drawings of inuyasha. I don't know the meansure but if your ears are 2-4cm they need to be at least 4-6cm inside leight. so total leight would be close to 6-8cm against your 3-5centimetres. But I am not a expert in making guess of it. You should find out yourself. I just tell my opition of it. Don't you can resize the ear object? Try different sizes. But this is my opinion, if you go for realism I guess your ears are not that bad but then it's not a inuyasha anymore.
Do what you want. I am not the one to tell you how much it should be. Am sorry about it. I took some time to think should I even post this message...

So far after going over your work.. I have realised that no matter how well it is done, His face seems too old for inuyasha..he has more of a younger childish face to him and it's a bit more rounded... I agree..The eyes do look flat in this pic.. Since inuyasha is a dog demon (Wich for the longest time I thought that he was a cat because of his ears lol ) In any case the eyes should look more human and not so Demonic. Or maybe more varitaions of color..
I doubt you need any Ideas from me but I find that with eyes you can fade from the pupil using black and then the darkest variation of the color that you are useing for the(the Iris) eyes slowly Fade in to that color. Use either a very pale variation of the same color fpr the refletion of light that you normally see... or white .
His ears seem a little to small or place in the wrong location...But as far as clothes or stance the art work is excellent... I do have to say that it would be hard to change from one medium to another ..meaning that makeing inuyasha more realistic from his anime form would be quite a task.
I do not mean to pick your art work apart, I really do love it, as a matter of fact I love them all.. ((the pin up poster however is a little scary

This is a treasure trove of information for cosplayers. It's always good to have a realistic view of the costumes. Thank you for providing that for whoever may pass by. (IE: it Freakin' ROCKS!!!)

But I should warn you, what I put together for the 3D Inu's outfit is not accurate, or not as much if I were try to make an outfit. The top if different from what I used. I have tried to find a real-world pattern for his top that's historically accurate, but I have yet to find it. I'm not sure if it's invented or not.

Even if it's not historically accurate, it's better than going at it blind. Sometimes it's just that little bit of inspiration that can push a budding cosplayer to find truly excellent costumes. It's more like opening one's mind from simply pen and ink into other possibilities. (I saw a picture in a Victoria's Secret that put me on the cosplay road. It wasn't accurate, but it was a start.)

Tis good. Very very VERY good. Better than I could do. I always pictured him to look younger though. A lot younger. He looks about...oh...27 or so. I thought he was supposed to be about 17 or something. Meh...I dunno. Still...very amazing.
