Description
cirenk does amazing art, especially in the pro wrestling genre, such that I had previously commissioned him for a "Mariko Yoshida tailors Julia Carpenter" Spider-Woman wrestler image. This commission is a first for me with an OC subject, not one that I created but who has come to figure most prominently in my series.
Originating in the very early 2000s, Jeanette Lansdale was the ice hot twentysomething who rose up the International Female Wrestling Federation (IFWF) ranks to become its World Champion. She'd lose and regain her title belt before the e-wrestling fed eventually folded. She then joined the Female Association of Wrestling Novas (FAWN) roster and, while enjoying less success there, was nonetheless able to capture its own World Championship.
Some years later, Jeanette would make the leap from stock images (of Adriana Karembeu and Victoria Pratt) to 3D art here on deviantART. Building way up from a cameo appearance , she'd expand my fictional wrestling world with stints in Valkyrie Championship Wrestling (VCW) and Pantheon, attaining their Americas and Eurasian Championships respectively.
With the earlier e-feds, generic stock images of wrestling title belts were used. I am also guilty of this, probably more so, with the same belt model used for three titles! So, until I get the hang of customizing a title belt, this commission was an opportunity to breathe some character into those belts as well. From left to right, their WWF templates are Alundra Blayze's Women's belt, the Attitude Era Women's belt, the Intercontinental belt, and (naturally) the European belt.
