Description "The great and mighty Casshan... If you are the humans' savior God help them."
β€”Android BK-01 (Black King)

This "Three Faces" nod had skipped my mind but came back to me soon enough when recalling my anime history.

I'd already been exposed to Japanese animation growing up overseas, mostly with TV shows like Voltron, The Adventures of the Little Prince, Thundersub (a.k.a. Space Carrier Blue Noah), and Sherlock Hound.

After immigrating to the States, however, everything old was again new (and gratuitously mature) during my teens, and ye olde Sci-Fi Channel was the main place to catch this harder-edged anime content for a time.

Among the main features I enjoyed during Sci-Fi's anime festivals were Vampire Hunter D (1985), 8 Man After (1993), and Casshan: Robot Hunter (1993); and something they had in common were lead villains voiced by Jeff Winkless (at least with the earlier Streamline dub of Vampire Hunter D).

There's not much I can say for this obscure performer that his wiki doesn't cover. Mr. Winkless was a costumed performer as Fleegle the dog on Hanna-Barbera's Banana Splits show, ironically having other actors voice his character. He'd have a number of other anime roles as well as some bit parts in classic/cult titles like Charlton Heston's Soylent Green, the original Gone in 60 Seconds, the live-action Zeiram where bounty hunter Iria debuted, and lastly the Black Scorpion TV series before eventually passing in 2006.

While I've only recently discovered his name, his contribution in bringing villains Tony Gleck, BK-1, and Count Magnus Lee to life left an impression that's stuck with me 30 years later.
