The trick with casting shadows on dark objects is to realize that the base color of dark objects is not black, they are just a very dark shades of grey. i.e. black is reserved for your lineart, and nothing else.
You probably could've added a little bit more shadow right where the zipper's dent is at the bottom, but this pic was drawn that long ago that you probably don't care anymore.
