I used my respirator because it's more awesome than my dust mask. XD

Your respirator looks so much cooler then mine. 8< I had to get a very specific brand for my ceramics class, and the only reason I didn't throw an even bigger fit over the obvious under-the-table-bribing the school had to have been getting for the amount of forcing they were doing on these respirators was because I figured I'd just be able to use it after ceramics class when I really started working on Jazz. I DID have a really pretty looking blue and grey one, but that one wasn't perfect enough because it wasn't the specific 3M brand, and so because they weren't getting bribes from the company, they wouldn't allow it no way no how. >8< I had to return it and get the ugly grey one with the pink pads on it. ewwwww...I miss the blue one. TTATT

Wicked picture. I use one of the paper ones with MSC but I hold my breath run out the room afterwards! (Leave the outside door or window open and keep the door to that room shut so the fumes leave)

I do SO much sanding and stuff I decided to just get a really good respirator. :3 Dolls are great... art's awesome... but it's not worth getting cancer over. X3

A friend of mine [link] who had a lung transplant wears a mask like that instead of a normal disposable surgical mask sometimes. She loves how it looks, and so do I.
But are they much harder than a disposable to breathe in? Looks awesome, rgardless.

It's only hard to breath when it slips down on my nose. I have allergies and I'm usually stuffy to begin with. XD I do tend to break out in zits where the mask sits so I try not to wear it for too long.

any sort of tiny particles that are inhaled can cause lung problems in the future, so yeah. X3 Goes for resin, plastic, fiberglass, ect.

I do worry, sometimes I work with really harsh chemicals with my dollies even though the're not resin. I use a drimel and plastic goes everywhere. I have a lil paper mask I guess it's better than nothing.

actually a paper mask is fine for dust. When you spray, however, it's probably not enough. If you spray a lot, which I do for priming pieces for casting, then you really need a respirator. It's also handy for when you're doing resin pours. :3

I haven't bought one in a while since I mostly use my respirator. They were like $5 for a pack? They're for drywall sanding. My respirator was about $20. It's not really green, i just painted it that way in photoshop. X3
