Because for some reason I hadn't made this yet XD This is kind of temporary until I get around to doing one without bases (whenever that may be
)
Questions I constantly get regarding this design
Q. What is her cutie mark?
A. It's a trampoline~ I tried to make it as trampoline-looking as possible - sorry if you didn't get it
Q. Why is it a trampoline?
A. It represents gymnastics. I've noticed that a lot of people tend to forget Harley's an Olympic-level gymnast - she even got into Gotham University on a gymnastics scholarship! Her talent isn't being Joker's hench-wench, after all
Q. Why is she pink?
A. If she were white she'd have no reason to wear greasepaint~ Plus Harley seems to like pink.

Wanna know what people people forget even more? She's one of the best psychologists in Gotham. She's more inclined to that than gymnastics. Ones a hobby, the other a profession. Nice job, though.

Is she, though? She became a psychologist, yes, but as evidenced in Mad Love she slept her way through a lot of her core classes; it's not clear if she couldn't do the work or if she simply didn't have the motivation. She admits in several comics that she wanted to go into psychology mainly for financial gain; helping people other than herself came second. On top of that, she clearly wasn't ready to be a practicing psychologist considering she broke down upon hearing her first abusive childhood case.
Do I think Harley could have been a great psychologist? Possibly. She's not stupid and with more training she could have been a very skilled doctor. She definitely picked up some skills necessary to psychology during her training, considering how manipulative and crafty she is when she wants to be. Ultimately, I think her lack motivation coupled with her own unresolved issues she couldn't leave out of therapy sessions with her patients dragged her down and landed her in Arkham.

Yes she slept through her classes. But still she passed the tests. Obviously she was doing something well. And you forget that one of J's most valuable traits is his manipulative nature. he didn't just tell her a sob story and she broke down in one session. It was multiple, and over the course of time he built her up, making her think they had a love connection, something he knew she wanted. Then, once he had her emotionally invested, he laid the sob story on her. He made her fall in love, then convinced her he was a victim of circumstance, that he didn't belong here, it isn't his fault. She was good at psychology, smart enough that the classes bored her to sleep and yet she still passed. They likely bored her because she was above the level she was on. Why do you think she was so professional until running away with J? She isn't as dim as she seems, she acts it because Joker has shown time and again that if someone is in anyway better than him or tries to upstage him, he makes sure they don't do it again. Don't you think that, knowing this, she wouldn't let her intelligence shine so bright? Remember the episode of BTAS that shows how they met? When she perfects his plan, and he goes ballistic? His whole "if you have to explain the joke it isn't funny" isn't about the humor, he knows that's subjective. He's mad he didn't get it at first, and also didn't have the idea first. And it wasn't just the sob story that broke her, thinking about it. It was only once she'd seen him returned to the asylum, beaten and bleeding, barely conscious, that she decided to join his side. And so what she didn't care for helping people? Most people choose their job based mainly, if not solely, on the pay. It just shows she wasn't one to help people before, that she was never really a good girl. She was just the kind who played it safe and colored inside the lines, if not with the proper colors. She is smart, and she is very skilled in psychology, but she's also in love, and she never cared about others anyway, so crime wasn't a problem other than getting caught. And if you hang with the Joker, you needn't really worry about getting caught. Her knowledge of psychology likely helped her to avoid a prison sentence as well.
