This is my entry for 's contest. Did it completely in Open Canvas. I haven't used it to color before, just to doodle and I couldn't cell shade to save my life in it so I used a different coloring style, hope you guys like it. Oh btw, the japanese by Jenny's head says "Jenny Wakeman" or to be more precise, "Jinii Wakuman-san".Edit: This time, I tried to make her shiny...

Wow 14bis has been having alot of contests lately, no wonder though. So many nice versions of Jenny popping up, bet he can't stop bringing in such lovely pics, lol.
Hoe you did well lad, any case excellent style of Jenny here man, way more realistic and so much more cool than on the show.

Yeah, but the thing is, I had already decided on a redesign of Jenny, and today, I completed a sketch of her body and head. So far it seems to be coming along fairly well, I'm only having a bit of difficulty how her hair should look...
Also, for the picture, I've decided on dressing her in her Death outfit. I printed out a picture of Jedah from Darkstalkers to use as a sort of example and piece of inspiration.

If you making her look like your redesign then give her that redesign's hair.

The thing is, I've experimented with that hairstyle, but it just seems too messy. I tried another style and it seems to work, but I'll have to test that one a bit more, especially with 3/4 views and side views, neither of which I can do well at all.

However, on Thursday, a classmate of mine really helped me out with the hair. SHE SAVED MY ASS.

I've used open canvas once or twice... more to do backgrounds than to actually color... lets just say this one hasn't graduated from PSP 7 yet. ^^'
Regardless, you did a damn good job! You did awesome with giving her depth so your shading skills are wonderful. (Can't cell shade for crap either)
As for the shiny I read in another comment, a bit of well placed white scribbles work wonders.
Overall, your talent is improving! Keep up the excellent work!

The expression if nice, but her hip seems a little big, like it isn't attached to her body.

Well, I accidentally made the drawing plan too small and it maybe her belt that is throwing you off, it being the same color and all.

That could be it (the belt) because it didn't look like it was sitting well on her body.
