How to see this manipulation in cross eye 3D:
Try to cross your eyes until you can see three images. Then try to focus on the middle image and relax your eyes.
If you still have problems with this I'd recommend this site: [link] and follow the steps.
Having still problems? Then I'd try to make the distance longer between your eyes and your computer.
Cross eye 3D looks pretty cool once you can see it! I had some problems with it at first, I kept seeing it blurry, but now when I try it more often it's actually very simple

They're mostly called cross eye 3D, you can find a lot of those on google and deviantart, it's not really a common form of 3D but I think it's fun that you can also create your own depth in a picture

Hmm, i can't really see it 3D yet. Have you tried to move the background on the left picture a bit more to the right with the perspective tool? That's what I did at least
