BTW, this capture can only be properly apreciated in FULL VIEW.

I like it! The beach is kind of distracting though!

I feel it adds a little something to the whole setup in terms of mirror reflection. I tried many times to crop it and found that there was no framing i liked better than this.
Thx for comenting.

Stunning. I can't describe why but it almost looks like an oil painting. Anyway, lovely colours and reflection in the sea and sand. Nice work.
P.S. I find this via `bigdavec journal.

so spectacular.....the waves look particularly good in this pic cause there isnt aas much contrast in them and there is more blues and whites visible!!! what i especially like is the glassy looking sand reflecting the sunset....it really combines and balances the whole pic!!!

bawarman In reply to candyillusion [2004-09-07 12:16:36 +0000 UTC]

I might submit another version of this where the surf comes in and the sand isnt visible anymore making it look like the north pole.

Under normal circumstances I'm not too interested in sunset photos because they are generally a mediochre capture. However, this is not a normal circumstance. This is quite simply breathtaking. What I wouldn't give to be there. The sea is beautifully captured with a relatively fast shutter (could've been faster still for pin sharp results), and in doing so, you have created a multitude of tones in the water. The sand is quite simply unbelievable, which just makes me want to keep looking at while daydreaming (I need to live in a place like this....) The golden colours captured, further enhanced by the wet sand's reflection of the sun are gorgeous. It hangs in the balance of the sky....which is a blinder. All too often you can get a great sunset, with too little detail in the sky, but you've got some groovy little whispy clouds here there and everywhere, without the sky feeling cluttered.

An almost faultless piece of work, you should count yourself very lucky.

PS I'd be interested in a print of this!

bawarman In reply to bigdavec [2004-09-06 19:57:18 +0000 UTC]

You must remember that not having an SLR, it is quite hard to get sharp results as i often process my shots through neat image in order to remove unwanted digital noise from my compact digital. This is no exception and although the original is much sharper it also has a lot more noise.

Thank you so much for your extensive comment and for the , i realy apreciate it.

PS: In regards to the print, i have submited one for this a couple of hours ago so i expect it to be available any minute now.

Oooh yay. Consider it bought any minute now + 2 seconds.

What exactly is neat image? Is that a piece of software? Is it freeware, i'd be interested to learn more about that?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

bawarman In reply to bigdavec [2004-09-06 20:07:59 +0000 UTC]

it is freeware and a must have, you will see one you get it. [link]
The trial version available only works JPGs which is more than enough for anyone who doesnt have a camera capable of shooting RAW. Try it out and see if you like it.
You realy like it that much? Thanks, i am very honored.
