Well, the pony craze has gotten me quite some time ago, and I have put my skills to use to create some fanart too!
Everyone, please welcome the newest Green Lantern of Sector... well, I don't know which sector Equestria belong to - so, just welcome Rainbow Dash!
I always felt she'd be the best suited for such a task, if a power ring ever found its way to Ponyville. And since it has been her lifelong dream to become one of the Wonderbolts, I based her GL uniform more or less on those worn by the Wonderbolts.

oh that involves swallowing a disc that turns you black for few days and let's you make purple constructs instead of green ones.actually i could see twilight doing that.
and the dark lantern isn't really power up,more like something you need an exorcist for.

This is a really interesting concept and could make a number of possibly interesting stories. The choice is a perfect fit, with Rainbow Dash and her aerial stunts bearing a strange resemblance to Hal Jordan and his flying skills.
As for Fluttershy being in the Indigo Tribe, while it does initially seem like a good choice, it actually isn't. The Tribe force compassion on their new members and they are basically made up of former sociopaths (people who technically have little to no conscience, feel no guilt, or genuine affection).
The thing is, the Indigo ring is able to wield all the other spectrum lights, either absorbing the constructs or tapping into the power of nearby lanterns. In order for the users not to be affected by these forces, the ring makes them feel nothing but compassion. They also have no memory of their actions while wearing the ring if it is removed. If Fluttershy were to get a ring, it would have to be broken or something.
And if you want lantern examples, check out the movie site, under get assigned a sector. They have many green lantern examples, though nothing that really shows what they would do with a quadruped.

I agree about the Indigo tribe comment - than again I am not a big fan of the whole rainbow corps concept that DC invented out of thin air in the last 2 years.
I think Dash would fit in just fine, the Corps does have quadrupeds (Isamot Kol is one in the movie franchise, I love his redesign). I bet "Dashie" would constantly play pranks on Kilowog, go on Salaak's nerves by not following orders, and be best friends with Boodika, often teaming up on the battlefield.

I like the other corps though, even if I have never been a big comic fan (though watching people like Linkara is making me more interested).
It's really amazing that one guy managed to take Hal's (not well received) psycho break down and the Green Lantern's bizarre weakness to yellow objects and expand that into a plausible explanation and concept (Parallax), create a lantern corp for every color of the rainbow, further building the GLC's origins, and then make something like Blackest Night, all from the 2000's and on.
I mean, it's a weakness against yellow objects. It's the weirdest thing in the world and yet the author of Green Lantern right now actually came up with a sound and logical reason for one of the most powerful and versatile objects in the universe not working on yellow things.

I always took the weakness as a complementer/opposite color thing. Like, each color has its opposite number on the palette.
Heh, I love Linkara's reviews. I wonder if he's ever gonna deal with the whole GL reboot where they made Hal go mad and kill the whole Corps, essentially... Frankly as much I disliked it, the Parallax retcon managed to salvage Hal thankfully. (I mean, he killed Kilowog and Sinestro, and destroyed the Guardians for Pete's sake... Not to mention what he did later as Parallax. Thank goodness it was not him.)

Okay, correction, the Indigo rings DO go for people with compassion, but they still end up making the user feel nothing but compassion, so even psychos can be made to join if the Indigo Tribe wants them to.

Most GLs were quite humanized (I mean, look at Naut Kei Loi - a guy with a fish head - or Medphyll - a guy with a broccoli for a head.
