Well, I always though that he would be a rip-off of some other character... But then I stopped thinking that way.
But now, after seeing this pic, it proves it all:
Dante is such a rip-off of Edward from Fullmetal Alchemist.
The gun, red coat, and half-demon thing is understandable, but having a blade at the hand (Edward's automail), completely same kind of a shoes, pants, belt and a shirt under the coat..? C'mon!!
But as an image, this is really great (Even tho' I don't like the sonic style at all)

i remember when Forsaken show me the sketch of this, i was so SHOCK AND SURPRISE on how it was so detail and clear up on the line work and I Love the outfit the hair, i love all of it^^ SO AMAZING! ^^
