Here is the history behind my work !!! They are both married to someone else, but their love for their partner died a long time ago.
They feel an overwhelming attraction to each other that is impossible to stop. But the respect for their partner has become a haunting shadow !!!
The promise they both made to their once loved has been broken. Now, they are beginning to feel the sour taste of repentance.

Nice composition of debauchery! I'm not familiar with Wilde's work, but this is a thought provoking illustration of that quote. Her moving the strap of her dress back up, implies things that may have, or were about to, happen inside the car with the guy there. Both are tasting repentance it seems, evidenced by their poses, and of course, by the title that clues us in.

It is characteristic of your work that the viewer has an active role, not a passive one, in that they have to do some work in order to try to put the elements of a particular picture together conceptually, as you have visually, in order to try to explain a scene in some way for themselves. They stay in my mind until I do.
Love the darkness in this, the blues and blacks, and the headlights. Perhaps the light on them, is moonlight.
