Description Another miles drawing yayyyy,, I like to draw him a lot he’s a cool guy. I like how I colored it and I kind of slightly like the pose even though it was a little tough, I don’t know how I managed to come up with a pose like that honestly.

Woa, love this one Pose is super interesting and I love how you coloured it too. I always kinda appreciated how you colour. What's your secret? Do you pick all your colours and shade till finished? Do you start out in greyscale? Or do you shade it with colour and edit it further when finished? (AKA: Selective Colour to add the cyan shade to your greys?) Feel free to tell me off for nosineness haha XD

oh man thank you so much!! its nice to know someone appreciates my coloring!Β  usually i pick a base color or a color slightly darker than the base so i can add a lighter tone to the color of my choice (depending on how i want the lighting to look). My most common way is making a base color and decreasing the darkness while slowly moving to the yellow shade when i want to shade light parts. if i want darker tones(like shaded areas) i add more value/darkness and move the color closer to blue. ive never really used grey scale before but i add it to some drawings to change their color. one thing that really helps me is this app called procreate. it has a color balance feature that helps me make my drawings more colorful. there is a lot of editing with the color balance feature, and sometimes (I know this may sound like im cheating) i would use a filter from my camera roll (but the filters arent rlly good anymore so i stopped). and also no need to feel like you're a bother im totally ok with telling people how i do it! tysm for asking too!Β

Ahhh, thanks so much for the comprehensive reply <3 I love discovering people's methods; you can always learn a new thing or two. (And no worries, I'm no puritan. I personally don't think there is such a thing as cheating in art, even copying/sampling/overpaints are all a-okay in my book just as long as people are upfront about it. But that's just me )
