I like it. I actually like the wonky lines, they add a whole new engergy. I would suggest using the bigger pentel brush pens because they forgive the 'lack of control' better. I personally ink with a brush myself but for travel the pentel brush pens are excellent. But again I actually really like this, especially the boots and knees.

Thanks! I like parts of it. I like the speed that comes from working with brush, the energy of it all. You just can't get that from working with pens. I've experimented with a lot of pocket brushes lately. I love the kuretake no. 8 brush. It's probably my favorite. But I'm going to give traditional brushes a shot and see if I can get it to work.

There's a very cool look to it! A slight loss of control creates more lively lines usually. Have you tried a regular brush? I like the pocket brush for cons and what not, but a normal brush (with a longer handle) gives me much more control.

I like the spontaneity of it and the happy accidents you get with brush. I think it's just a matter of getting more accustomed to working with one and controlling those accidents. And, yes, I just bought a few DaVinci sable brushes-- so gotta get going with those!

Nice! Yeah, I'm digging what the brush does to your work. Can't wait to see more.
