I think it is an awesome picture of the bird like a phoenix, and creator of many heroes in Persian myths. It also is connected to the tree of life, with the seeds of every plant and heals all the illnesses of the world. /fav

You seam to know a lots of thing about it ! I'm sure that most of people do not know Simurgh.
It's a persian (Aseri) friend who arouse my interest about the persisan mythologic creatures.

I looked it up on wikipedia, but I always love mythology. The odd thing about the Simurgh is the part about the tree of life, it's a little bit like Ygdrassil in the Nordic mythology. I've found that a lot of mythology is alike but has minute differences.

And you're right, tree of life is a reccurent topic on a lots of mythologies !
