Well, the first drawing on my new account, one that is certainly flawed, but I still like how it came out. One of my first tries at something hard called realism. It is certainly vastly different than everything I've tried before. But I must say, I like drawing in this style. I feel like I've outgrown the very cartoony style I've always been drawing.

About the drawing
This drawing started as an experiment. I wanted to try something different, a new style. I hadn't been drawing for four months at that point and I was reluctant to draw something. But I decided to draw anyway.

Like the text on the drawing implies, I wanted to capture curiosity, specifically a reluctant curiosity to the unknown, like the drawing itself was. The cat is wondering whether to reach out more to the lights, it definatelly captured it's interest. Just like I was relucantly reaching out to something new, wondering what to do with it.
