Description
This was a recent commission for a leather bird mask and crown. They're shown layered together, but there are several ways to wear this set. Hand cut and sculpted from quality tooling leather, then painted in shades of reddish brown and forest green, with iridescent highlights. Accented with pheasant and peacock feathers, vintage brass filigrees and tiger eye cabochons.

The client has long auburn hair, and we wanted the mask/crown to highlight this. As a result, the pieces may appear very top heavy when shown on the mannequin; the effect was more balanced and more striking when worn with her reddish hair flowing down
