Description A drawing I did for school and I can't completely remember if I've already submitted this or not... If I have you can sue me If not, then enjoy.

This is a spinosaurus head from Jurassic park 3 using a combination of pastels and pencils in what is meant to be in an impressionistic style

Oh and a little bit of trivia.. That's not how the dinosaur looks. As with all the other Jurassic Parks, a bit of artistic creativity has been put into spino.

In Jurassic Park 1, the Velociraptors are actually Dynichius or however they're spelt. Velociraptors are actually the size of a dog with a long narrow snout, and the Dynichius is the size of a man with a more rounded snout.
The "spitter" could never spit, and it had no frill around it's neck (kind of obvious knowledge I would think) but it was also more the size of a tyrannosaurus, as apposed to being the size of a dog.

In Jurassic Park 3 they fixed the Velociraptor a bit, at least in the snout department, but they actually based the spinosaurus on a baryonyx as the baryonyx had the long narrow snout and bumps on its nose, but it had no sail. Spinosaurus has a more rounded snout... But I suppose the sail is nice and dramatic for a movie!

Absolutely brilliant! The pencils and pastels certainly add a point of interest to the whole picture--for the Spino they add the feeling of texture and for the background, depth.
Plus, it gives a good perspective on how he may have looked too.

I like the wide range of colors you used! That's excellent, much better than using just one base color.

Hey there! Great Spinosaurus drawing!

Just a few notes about the info you wrote; it is spelled Deinonychus, and indeed, it was the raptor seen in Jurassic Park.
Oh, and the Spinosaurus did have a crocodile-like snout, although many old drawings show it with a short, T-Rex like snout.

PS- Your Spino goes right to my favorites... Jurassic Park III rocks!

It's very pretty. I like how you shaped the inside of the top of the snout.
