I don't really think they were ever "friends," so to speak, but the team captains surely had to have some kind of dynamic between each other. Just fooling around, trying to figure out what that is. => Who knows, maybe they were friends, they just dropped all of that once they hit the pitch, and left it all out on the pitch too... (Can you see Oliver leaving it all on the pitch? Neither can I.)

Roger is somebody largely unexplored, I think, and for whatever reason he struck me as this well-meaning guy who's just extremely full of himself... I dunno why, but there you go. I get the feeling he's cornered them in Hogsmeade and is trying to pitch this great idea he had for a Quidditch Alliance to the other two, and Oliver is stuck trying to explain to him why exactly that won't work...

Oh yes... we're missing Flint because I don't think even Cedric, bless his heart, could have done any semblance of "getting along" with him. I also think that somehow only makes the situation worse for Flint, but better for the other three... "us" versus "them" mentality and all that rot.
