Long ago organized ACEO (art cards, editions and originals) trade with MSW. She is a sweetheart and I already received mine in the mail <3 em.
I wanted to work especially hard on this and make it a real artwork within the limited space, I fear my older ACEOs were somewhat lacking and now I have a little more experience in traditional art.
This looks really quite beautiful IRL under full light and I am quite proud of it. The photo does not do it justice.
Her blind marbled tigress character Val in a beautiful flowering field under a full moon :3 I hope you don't mind that I only gave her one eye bandage, I didn't want to obscure too much of her face and kept messing it up.
(This was VERY friggun hard to get a good picture of! *tears hair out*)
Watercolors, polychromo pencils, acrylic paint and a diamontee.

Life of Pi has three parts. The first one is where the main character, Pi, being an adult now, looks back upon his childhood. How he was named after a swimming pool, being named Piscine Molitor Patel. How he dramatically changed his name to Pi when he started to attend secondary school, because he was tired of being mistakenly called "Pissing Patel". How he was born as a Hindu, but as a fourteen-year-old, came into contact with Christianity and Islam and started to follow three religions. He tries to understand God and each religion in and of itself; he realizes the benefits to each. Eventually, his family decides to move to Canada after an offer to relocate their zoo.
In the second part, it all goes wrong. The boat sinks and Pi ends up with a tiger, a hyena, a zebra and an orang-utan in a small lifeboat. All the other people and animals are immediately drowned. The tiger eats the hyena, who eats the zebra and orang-utan, so there are soon only two left. Food and water supplies are low. Pi starts fishing to get food for him and the tiger, as he doesn’t want him to die, for he would be all alone on the ocean. The very thought of being alone is worse than being stranded on a lifeboat with a 450-pound tiger. Pi makes sure, with all his zoo-keeper’s-son knowledge, that the tiger believes Pi is the alpha and therefore doesn’t attack the boy

I like the little details you got in in the limited space, like the fur texture and the light grass in the background.
And I find the coloring in this to be very reminiscent of MSW's traditional style(like in her comic). Lovely <3

Wow, you've done an amazing job on this.
Especially for having such a limited space, you've pulled of wonders, that's for sure.
The colour choice for the background is perfect in my opinion. It contrasts against Valkyrie's fur as well as it sets the mood, which is calm and relaxing, with a hint of magic.
I do love the way you've painted the clouds and the star.

Thankyou Kodriak! :3 it was quite a challenge for me to work in such a small space but I am confident this is a leap forward from my past ACEO artworks.
I tried using some of my digital painting knowledge when making those clouds x3 they are diluted white acrylic paint.

Oh my god, this is gorgeous.
I couldn't stop staring at the stalks of flowers and the luminous clouds for just... well, an awkward and embarrassing amount of time. The colour is absolutely beautiful, and I'm totally in love with how you've designed the little gemstone into a gleaming star.
Val looks absolutely perfect! You've captured her in a very fitting stance, and her colour and markings look fantastic, especially against that purple background. And don't worry, the bandages are fine! I've drawn them a couple of different ways myself, and I would rather see your unique take on them rather than just copying a design characteristic that doesn't feel right to you.
I love this in more ways than I can type out without having to go thesaurus myself to death looking up synonyms for "fucking amazing."

The flowers actually happened accidentally and I just ran with it xD(my experience with watercolor in a nutshell right there LOL).

Anyways. The thing that really caught my about this was the complimentary colors. I love the orange against that dark purple. I also really like how you used a darker purple to do the plants, almost as silhouettes. The sky is also a really nice soft, fluffy accent to the hard edges of everything else. It's a really beautiful scene in general and you did a great job :]
