Description
Donkey Kong is the carefree and lazy, yet trustworthy hero of Donkey Kong Island, as well as the main character of the Donkey Kong series. Though known as Donkey Kong, he is actually a descendant of the original Donkey Kong, and successor after the latter retired after his numerous defeats at hands of Mario. Although many prefer the Donkey Kong Country series, my favorite game in the Donkey Kong lineage is Donkey Kong 64. Much like Banjo-Kazooie/Tooie and Conker's bad fur day, Donkey Kong 64 is very innovative in boss battles, character designs/mechanics, gameplay, music and collectibles. This is the game that truly made me love Donkey Kong (even though the early nes platformer and snes Country series were both awesome as well)!
